Come clean with LINUX!
Sep-2000
My local cheap brand of soap was for a while "LUX" and I just couldn't get this
image out of my head without, well, getting it out of my head.

Noise Art #1
Jan-2001, painted using The GIMP.
This image is a tinted composite of four distorted, magnified renderings
of computer generated "visual noise".

Marty's Escher-Like House
25-Feb-2001, pencil on paper.
I sat down next to the wood stove and tried my hand at fish-eye perspective. Yes, the
ceiling above my fireplace really does open up into the second floor hallway.

painted using The GIMP):

Spock and His Cow
Apr-2001, pencil on paper.
For Christmas one year my mother gave me both of these knick-knacks. She didn't put
them together, but it seemed obvious to me. They contemplate each other quizzically as
I wash my dishes.

- Starting in about Febuary of 2001, I attended a many of the
"Open Sketch" sessions at Ithaca's
Community School of
Music and Art. You
walk in, pay your six dollars, and sketch or paint a human figure
for two and a half hours. No instruction is provided, which is
just fine with me.
Partly for the sake of here now warning you that
these are un-draped human figures, I've placed them
on a separate page.
